DEFENSE OF THE ANIMAL WORLD

Luís Moro who was born in Segovia in 1969 has been consolidating an international artistic career. Award-winning artist has received important distinctions, the latest of which in 2023, the Premio Castilla y León de las Artes 2022. His work evolved from figurative painting, with a strong tendency towards an almost abstract expressionism until to installation and maintenance exploration of the expressive resources of new technologies (Miguel Cereceda). Among his most notable projects, always with an interdisciplinary character and exploring new expressions of modern technologies, are “Sphere of the Invisible” and “Save Our Souls”, title of an exhibition at the Esteban Vicente Museum of Contemporary Art (Segovia) in 2023, curated by Miguel Cereceda. The defense of endangered species and the dialogue between man and the animal world are part of the principles he defends, the object of a performance, a march of 1,800 women that ended with the composition ; of figures of seahorses, at the origin of current silkscreen printing.
