VEGETABLE FASCION

Christine Enrègle, French artist born in 1973 and with a doctorate in fine arts at the University of Paris, Sorbonne (2008), is She is a visual arts teacher and lives between Paris and Lisbon where she exhibited her drawings in 2020 at the National Society of Fine Arts and in 2022 at the National Museum of Natural History. An interest in landscape marks his path, considering this as a raw material whose transfigured elements are at the origin of his creations. Since 2017, he has privileged charcoal drawing on canvas, creating organic forms in relation to the metamorphosis of plants and the growth of trees and reflecting the symbiosis between the human and the plant. In the current lithograph, produced during a residency at Atelier CPS, the artist was inspired by the olive tree, in a work that highlights the importance and mastery of drawing and is a great example of drawing. It is a very original expression of its privileged relationship with the plant, as a metaphor for the human.
