Born in 1932, in Iceland. He studied at the Art Academy in Reykjavik, the Art Academy in Oslo and the Art Academy in Florence. But he took up residence in Paris in 1958. He is part of the European Pop art group, called “Narrative Figuration”. This artistic current seeks to observe and absorb contemporary society and essentially manifests itself through the interpretation of the contradictions and dilemmas of that same society. Erro has held exhibitions in the most important contemporary art museums and is represented at the Betzalel Museum in Jerusalem, Pompidou in Paris, Museum of Modern Art in Tel-Aviv, Stockholm, Reykjavik, New York , Tokyo, Bern, Berlin, Washington, Munich, Lisbon, Vancouver or Havana.
