CPS's participation in the prestigious FIG Bilbao – International Engraving Festivaldeserved notable recognition from entities, galleries, artists and the public, affirming the quality and charm of our editions and artists. This festival marked 10 years and had Portugal as a guest country. At the event, “Madrugada Suspensa” by the artist Margarida Lourenço, cover highlight and work that has nature as its referent and that masterfully combines screen printing, engraving, digital printing and collage.

 

A compliment to our Atelier CPS reinforced in the distinguished Impressions project which led to prestigious authors (Mário de Carvalho, Rui Zink , Rui Cardoso Martins, Rita Taborda Duarte and Patrícia Portela) wrote creatively about each of the techniques used by the artists Maria João Worm, < a href="/en/loja/l36187">António Jorge Gonçalves, João Fazenda, Pedro Proença and Alex Gozblau; everything gathered in a precious book-object designed by Maria João Lima.

 

Two generations a common passion, highly demanding engraving: by the award-winning Argentinean Juan Sebastián Carnero and from master Marçal, the poetry of the Cosmos in all its splendor.

 

Designed for Bilbao, José by Guimarães on exclusive handmade paper, point out new directions and all the vocabulary and chromatic energy of the great international artist. Having been a dancer in the company Bailados Portugueses Verde Gaio, from 1966 to 1980, António Carmo pays tribute to ballet in a screen print dedicated to António Casalinho, young prodigy of classical ballet who also signed the work. From Chichorro, all the magic of life and love in the works celebrating its lavish 80 years.

 

To close the melancholic trilogy started in 2016, João Francisco Vilhena presents us The Melancholy of Images about the sign of poetry and friendship. From the new generations of artists the chromatic brilliance and restraint, the collective Malibu Ninjas is the winner of the CPS Young Award, Maria Bernardino. A tribute to Luís Feito, with a previous edition and also to the late and prodigious Cruzeiro Seixas, a screen printing only Now presented, in the context of the terminus of its centenary celebrations. And also, a set of small format works by Joana Ramalho, Cláudia Sampaio, João Prates and Sofia Areal.
