Miguel Chevalier
Born in 1959 in Mexico City, Miguel Chevalier has lived in Paris, France, since 1985.
Since 1978, Miguel Chevalier has worked exclusively with the computer as his primary medium of artistic expression, developing a unique body of work that explores the aesthetic and poetic potential of digital technologies.
Chevalier quickly gained international recognition as one of the pioneers of virtual and digital art. Throughout his career, he has established himself as one of the most prominent figures in the contemporary art scene, remaining at the forefront of technological experimentation.
Miguel Chevalier’s work is experimental, multidisciplinary, and deeply innovative. Drawing from references in art history, he reinterprets them through digital tools, creating artworks that explore recurring themes such as the relationship between nature and technology, flows and networks, virtual cities, and ornamental patterns. Since the 1980s, Chevalier has been dedicated to exploring hybrid, generative, and interactive imagery.
