Special Edition carried out in partnership with Soc. Nacional de Belas Artes (SNBA) and the Carmona e Costa Foundation, on the occasion of the celebration of 40 years of the artist's work marked with an exhibition at the SNBA.
The collage in this work makes a symbolic evocation, according to the artist, of the Man and Woman drawn by Dürer, in accordance with divine proportion, recovered from Antiquity by Renaissance painters .
Critical notes
Maria José Oliveirawho was born in Lisbon in 1943, where he lives and works, has exhibited regularly since 1982, in Portugal and abroad. He started by dedicating himself to the ceramics, having subsequently included objects/sculptures made from natural materials, as well as drawings and photographs, in its exhibitions.
