A LYRICAL ATMOSPHERE

The present editions of screen prints by Miguel Barbosa in a way celebrate the 90 years of the renowned painter, poet, playwright and writer, whose Paleontology collection, passionately gathered over decades, gave rise to the Sintra Natural History Museum.

Among the numerous distinctions he received abroad, in 2009, the Jorge Amado Medal, awarded to him by the Brazilian Union of Writers, stands out. The artist held several exhibitions in Portugal and abroad, in countries such as Brazil, Germany, France and Spain. In 2001, the Portuguese Screen Printing Center published the album “Palavras que Falam de Amor” in whose lyrical atmosphere these works are integrated. Couples in loving fusion, in the synthesis and brilliance of the gesture, typical of a Master.
