Ivald Granato (b. 1949), versatile and versatile, considered the greatest performing artist in Brazil, studied at the School of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro, painter, sculptor, editor, author of several books, set designer, television producer, was the author of manifestos such as “Plural” or “Artist in Search of a Profession”. Granato's creation has a kinship with the Arte Bruta of Jean Dubuffet (1901-1985), with the expression of the alienated and children, and with graffiti, in the assumption of spontaneity and impulse. the instinctive and irruptive gesture. É Furthermore, with the creator of Arte Bruta, precursor of abstract expressionism and informalism and with his language of great freedom and a certain naivety and irony, Granato's current compositions reveal an assumed proximity, namely with famous series “L’Hourloupe”, from 1962 (which would be extended in sculpture), in the relationship between movement and color, with a predominance of blues and reds.
