Artur Moreira

Artur Moreira was born in Espinho, in 1946. He graduated in Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, where he later came to teach. He was also a teacher at the E.U.A.C. (University School of Arts Coimbra) and in free courses at the Art Centre of S. João da Madeira.

He has had individual exhibitions in the cities of Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, Espinho, S. João da Madeira and Barcelos and has participated in collective exhibitions such as ESBAP. ESBAP - "Exposição Europeia de Desenho Universitário", Lisbon; "Bienal dos Artistas Novos", Fundação Cupertino de Miranda, Famalicão; "1ª Exposição de Artes da Câmara Municipal do Porto"; "II Bienal de Desenho", Coop. His work is represented in several private collections such as the Casa Museu Teixeira Lopes, Museu dos Lóios (S. M. da Feira), Museu da Bienal de Cerveira, Museu Amadeo de Souza Cardoso (Amarante), Câmara Municipal de Pinhel, Câmara Municipal de Barcelos, Ventura Terra, ESBAP - 1972/73, Teixeira Lopes (sculpture) ESBAP - 1974, Fernanda de Castro, Ateneu Comercial do Porto - 1975, Fundação Engenheiro António de Almeida, Porto - 1984.
