Artur Moreira was born in Espinho, in 1946. He graduated in Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, where he later came to teach. He was also a teacher at the E.U.A.C. (University School of Arts Coimbra) and in free courses at the Art Centre of S. João da Madeira.

He has had individual exhibitions in the cities of Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia, Espinho, S. João da Madeira and Barcelos and has participated in collective exhibitions such as ESBAP.
