The artist Pedro do Vale pays tribute to the poet Fernando Pessoa with two lithographs (see also "Chevalier de Pas") with a symbolic print run of 47 copies, corresponding to the years of Pessoa's life.
Critical notes
Pedro do Vale (b. 1990) joins, with this series of two lithographs, the great lineage of artists who created iconography inspired by the personality, face and figure of the brilliant and world-renowned poet Fernando Pessoa, from Almada Negreiros, to Júlio Pomar, Costa Pinheiro, Pedro Chorão, Alfredo Margarido, Miguel Yeco and Rico Sequeira, among many others.
Based on a famous verse by Álvaro de Campos: “I am the ghost born of all sensations”, Pedro do Vale evokes the game of heteronyms, the diversity and complexity of “ drama in people”, a definition by the poet himself, which made him famous.
