Critical notes
The engraving inspired by the famous book by the North-American writer L. Franck Baum: The Wizard of Oz, is associated with the universe of children's tales and fables, bringing together the magical figures of the emerald city founded by a circus artist, supposed sorcerer , in the Land of Oz. A world of fantastic and mythical creatures that the image reproduces and which includes a girl, Dorothy Gale, representing the wisdom and innocence of childhood.
