Critical notes
Portugal as inspiration In the work of Spanish artist Dolores Galvez (1st Engraving Prize in Spain in 2000), poetry is the main element. This is an exceptional motivation, as this work documents, an engraving inspired by the poem "Portugal" (from the book O Camiño é unha Nostalxa - 1988) which, according to the author, the poet Manuel Maria, one of the greatest literary figures ;rias from the second half of the 20th century in Galicia, "has the colors of melancholy and hope, and blooms in perfect autumns..." In the present work, blue, the color of the sea and dreams, truly creates new horizons of upward movement and hope.
