Born in Pontevedra in 1954, Dolores Galvez has a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad de Vigo and a Master's from the Facultad de BB.AA.

Her artistic work focuses particularly on painting and engraving. With a broad exhibition curriculum, ranging from Spain to Canada, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal or Lithuania, the artist has won several Prizes for Painting and Engraving, of which the CC.OO Acquisition Prize, at the Ayuntamiento de Valdemoro, Madrid ( 2003) and the Primer Premio de Pintura, Colégio Médico Pontevedra.

Her activity also extends to illustration, namely that related to poetry. The works of Dolores Galves are spread across several Museums and Foundations.
