Brazilian artist Renata Cruz was born in 1964, in Araçatuba, São Paulo, Brazil.
In the 80s he completed training in visual arts, later completed at theFacultad de Bellas Artes de la Universidad Autónomade Madrid , by Artistic Education courses and by attending Engraving Ateliers. This learning already takes place. diversity that his work reflects, it also encompassed integrative art and painting.
The works developed at CPS with images of birds that she herself presents as interactive projects with the public to whom they are aimed, are inspired by fragments of texts from the book Folhas da Relva by the American poet Walt Whitman. The title “Release Area” of these works, refers to the bird reserves in Brazil that preserve endangered species, a way of celebrating nature, like Whitman's poetry which in the artist's opinion “reveres the existence of all beings."
Renata Cruz has held numerous individual and group exhibitions since 2008 in countries as diverse as Portugal, Brazil, Denmark, Spain, Japan, Uruguay, Peru, Sweden, Colombia, USA and Germany.
