Born in Lübeck, Germany on August 18, 1935. At the age of 20, he left for Berlin, where he studied at the Kunstakademie and, later, at the Hochschule für Bildende Kunst.

He left for Paris in 1959, after receiving a scholarship, there he studied. taking up residence. He held his first solo exhibition in 1964 at the Friedrich Gallery in Munich. This will be followed by around 150 solo exhibitions in prestigious international venues, including numerous Retrospectives in the most renowned Museums in Europe. Referential name of European Pop Art is represented in important museums and private collections.
