Fiipe Romão was born in Lisbon, in 1981. He works and lives in Sintra. He graduated in Fine Arts - Painting - from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, in 2008, after completing the Bachelor of Fine Arts – Sculpture, from the same Faculty. In 2002, he graduated in Photography from the Technical School of Image and Communication (ETIC).
He has been developing work in areas such as drawing, painting, photography and installation. Since 2006, he has exhibited his work regularly in group and solo exhibitions. Of the various solo exhibitions he held, the following stand out: “Continuous Movement”, at MU-SA – Sintra Arts Museum, in 2022; “These landscapes do not exist”, at the Museu Nacional de Soares dos Reis (Porto), in 2019 and “Dos Lugares Onde Nunca Estive”, Galeria SETE – Contemporary Art (Coimbra), in 2018. And of the various group exhibitions in which he participated, the following stand out: “Arriving at the; Boca da Noite”, Coimbra Contemporary Art Center, in 2022; “STUDIOLO XXI, Drawing and affinities”, Centro de Arte e Cultura Fundação Eugénio de Almeida (Évora), in 2019.
It is represented in public and private collections, such as the Norlinda and José Lima, Carmo Archaeological Museum, ER Collection, Center for Judicial Studies, among others.
