Born in Lisbon in 1961, Domingos Mateus has a degree in Mathematics from the University of Minho. He works as a painter and is also part of a musical group called “Fados e Guitarras de Coimbra”.

He held several solo and group exhibitions. He was selected several times for the “Fidelidade Jovens Pintores” contest, the “Júlio Resende Prize” and the “Almada Negreiros Prize”. He won Honorable Mention at Port’Arte, Portimão, in 1992 and 1993.
