Aljustrel opens CPS exhibition with works by more than 70 artists

From October 13th to November 11th

The Aljustrel Training and Cultural Entertainment Workshops will open the exhibition Challenging the Look – Editions of the Portuguese Screen Printing Center. An exhibition that brings to the Alentejo municipality 92 works, by 72 artists, from 21 nationalities, decentralizing and democratizing access to art. culture.

 

In the exhibition you can appreciate works by renowned artists such as Graça Morais, Joséé by Guimarães, Júlio Pomar, Cruzeiro Seixas, Mário Cesariny, Noronha da Costa, Ana Vidigal, Leonel Moura, Sofia Areal, Graça Pereira Coutinho and rising artists such as Jorge Barrote, Filipe Romão, Alice Geirinhas, Mário Vitória, among many others.

 

With this initiative, CPS gives continuity to the Its mission is to facilitate access to works of art of great value, editing, promoting and disseminating the Original Graphic Work of contemporary artists, Portuguese and foreign, according to an eclectic and formative editorial model.

 

According to Maria João Fernandes, art critic (AICA – International Association of Art Critics) and poet, with the current exhibition at the Portuguese Screen Printing Center, &ldquo ;allows us once again a comprehensive look at the list of its editions, a kind of ‘living museum’ and itinerant that affirms the role of graphic work in today's world, in emblematic expressions of contemporary art, such as Abstraction, Surrealism, New Figurations or Neo Pop -Art, revealing a timeless imagination, which makes it a privileged vehicle of communication.

 

The exhibition will be on display until October. November 11th and guided tours can also be scheduled, always at the door. Wednesday and by prior appointment.
