"Browsing through the CPS catalog is taking a beautiful journey into the great world of art. Not just the visual arts, but a transdisciplinarity that can be found in the multiple editions of art. es, works and authors that embrace each other in this Center that is about ART and not just screen printing.

And this meeting is fabulous. Coming from the world of animated cinema where the most important thing is not the film. an image, but what happens between them in a sequence, is She is the one who will transform inert images into movements that exist only “within us”.

In this catalog we find so many people who, combining gesture, stroke, color, also create emotions, sensations and movements that shake us, shake us, move us, body and soul.

Not wanting to forget, so many great artists exist in this catalogue, I chose them, for different reasons;

João Fazenda, his Seeds are emotions left in a universe of color and light who has the heart of an animation director in his chest.

João Fazenda, "Sementes", Screen Printing

Still Free by Francisco Vidal, in addition to this cry of freedom left in the artist's movement on the canvas, mediated by color and the brush, it is It is also a look at a “free” from a great friend.

Maria João Worm did it a year ago. He took the animation course with us at Gulbenkian for a few years, and we've always seen that look in his eyesHappy as a birdwhere the color and ease of drawing leaves the essential under our gaze.

Maria João Worm, "Happy as a bird", Linocut

A GREAT friend who left us prematurely, Carlos Eirão, even in his works untitled, reflects the fundamentals of others, of those he always knew how to respect and love. His works are what he is like. and it will be Always in our memories, someone who knows how to hug.

Two HUGE ones in this catalog are the Cruzeiro Seixas, either in the Runas of the Future City, or in the Group driving the sea to its definitive placethis more than perfect meeting between the best of surrealism and futurism, whether understood as “school” or as time. Júlio Pomar, whom I “enchanted” – In his words - with animated films inspired by fado, he always knew how to give form, color and perfect light to neorealist texts or understand and express great cultures such as that of the Xingu Indians inHuka Huka It is also inspired by Ruy Guerra's film camera.

The CPS brought together Luc Brévart  and MONSTRA and its Whats new about Europe is; This meeting of cultures, people and poets, those who really cross and build bridges between all of us on the maps that Luc reinvents in constant encounters of creative civilizations.

Luc Brévart, "What's new about Europe!"", Screen Printing

Closing and uniting, all of us, artists, works, public, is here. João Prates and what better tribute can we pay to this transdisciplinarity between still and moving images than with these Blind Lux – Hot Moon,or…. Sunwhere every gesture is; movement on screens that dance deeply within us, like a sequence of images in an animated film."
