A SOLAR PALETTE

Frank Meyer, born in Canada, initially self-taught, took up his art and training in this field, after a long career as a Video Director and after the great success he had with his first solo show, in 2005. He then dedicated himself to art. collage, combining different elements and materials, and using previously painted pieces of paper taken from magazines and books, in a creative process involving a good dose of improvisation that the artist compares to art. of Jazz music. For these works he was awarded the “Best in Paper” award, at the 60th edition of the 20th edition. anniversary of the “Toronto Outdoor Fair” Its palette of very vivid tones with contrasts of primary colors and a solar atmosphere characterize this work, as well as a fragmented composition evoking the collage technique and an abstract iconography with resonances of the visible that takes us back to Mirós lesson; and Kandinsky, two of the founders of contemporary art.
