AN OCEAN DEPTH
In this serigraph by Luís Lemos who was born in Belmonte (1954) and lives between Lisbon and Paris, the artist associates it with a line with a strong gestural and irruptive component that the black accentuates, chromatic notes in patches of aquatic suggestion. Evoking the “oceanic depths”, the title of his exhibition that took place at the Palácio Egypt in Oeiras (3 Nov - 3 Dec 2016), curated by Alexandra Silvano. A depth that is metaphor of the successive levels of unveiling of the unconscious that every true creative adventure represents
