DISTANT FRIENDS Geographical and cultural distance did not prevent young artists Ana Ventura, Portuguese, and Camilla Engmann, Swedish, from bringing their universes together in a common horizon of exemplary fables that surprises us today and delights in the set of silkscreens entitled: “Distant Friends”, presented in an exhibition at the CPS Gallery at CCB. Their joint work is born from dialogue with each other. This distance work was done by exchanging images and opinions, where each artist worked based on the graphic elements sent by the other. The result, notably achieved in this co-authorship, was then printed on linen at Atelier CPS and later, some details were embroidered, giving each work an additional richness.
