Fernando Machiana, self-taught, is part of the project together with Mestre Malangatana. missing, of the artists who placed Moçambique on the route of world art. Founding member of the Matalana Cultural Center, it promotes activities in the field of visual arts and encourages young people with a vocation for painting. The engraving published today reflects these splendid qualities but above all the artist's talent, capable of creating over the dominant blue and dreamy composition an unsettling atmosphere combining mythical creatures, human beings, animals and objects in the same fight for survival that actually sums up the destiny of man.
