The photographs of Foz Coa by Duarte Belo, son of the great poet Rui Belo, in the noble tradition of black/white, are associated with the celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the Portuguese Center of Screen Printing, and it is It is the author himself who establishes this link, in a poetic reflection on the image. He considers that “the rock engravings of Foz Côa are unique representations of life and time. In them will be is the essence of the image as a primeval form of what we currently call Art. The desire to acquire what is represented, the sublime of language that emerges from consciousness when we realize the finiteness of life.” The image allows us to imprison time, giving it back the eternity that justifies and redeems it, suggested in this beautiful set that evokes the sublime of nature itself.
