PATRÍCIA NORONHA: AN IMAGINAL FLORA
The path of Patrícia Noronha da Costa (b. 1965), daughter of the well-known painter who left us in 2020, has been guided by the art/science dialogue , a stance that tends to abolish the borders between the various disciplines of knowledge, of which it is important. in our country is a relevant example. With a PhD in Biology, she developed a successful scientific career that did not hinder her, but rather encouraged her increasingly committed connection to the secret domain of artistic creation that reveals itself in images of great chromatic and vital intensity. His meticulous look and attention to the details of the visible world are reflected in his digital prints on canvas and paper from the “Hanging Gardens” series, which he presents to us today. A kind of plastic x-ray of an exuberant vegetation, which from the roots ascends to the stems and leaves of an imaginal flora to delight the senses and the soul.
