Works created under the theme of “Synthetic Aesthetics” based on the relationship between art and artificial intelligence.

Ken Rinaldo who was born in New York in 1958 is is a reference in the international current of Bio Art that develops the relationship between art and technology, worrying about the impact that artificial intelligence has on our vision of reality and nature, leading to that the boundaries between the organic and the inorganic are blurred. Professor of Robotics and Bio Art at the University of Ohio, he created his own language and vocabulary, clearly evident in the speech that accompanied his exhibition at Galeria António Prates, with the title Est&eacute Synthetic ethics in whose atmosphere the current works are inserted. These superb digital prints evoke the fictional universes of Huxley, Brave New World or Orwell, 1984, a reality that has existed for many years. It has far surpassed the fiction or surrealist and visionary landscapes of the French artist Yves Tanguy, his composite and enigmatic creatures from a world with which Ken Rinaldo seems to have the greatest affinity.
