The exhibition that will be held patent until May 5th, includes the presentation of the editions resulting from his artistic residency at Atelier CPS, in Lisbon, the city that inspired these works. Carnero, an expert in the technique of lost-matrix linocut, asserts in the current set of engravings, a style where figuration is the main element. geometrically refined almost to the point of to abstraction and combining it with attention to detail, the care and meticulous treatment of surfaces and a keen sense of perspective and chromatic harmonies between cold and warm tones of great poetic effect. The connection to Lisbon is within easy reach. clearly evident in works such as: À Beira-Mar, Perceço de Colina or Sete Ventos.

It is stated as a whole, according to art critic Maria João Fernandes (A.I.C.A. International Association and Art Critics) “a poetic and surreal atmosphere with a touch of art metaphysics, for example in the static figures that enigmatically profile themselves in Sete Ventos and the presence of a symbolic geometry in a labyrinthine explosion of suggestive and ambiguous forms evoking Escher's universe, another exponent of contemporary art”.
