This exhibition arises from the need to publicize the work of Portuguese authors active in this area, regardless of whether they are more or less established in the area of illustration itself said. The awareness of effective dissemination of this activity was born in the 90s in Portugal, with the work of institutions that dedicated themselves to in an exemplary way to this task. É It is in a now rarefied context of this type of initiatives that Ar.Co decides to promote this exhibition, assuming the role of cultural disseminator that is, moreover, enshrined in the statutes. João Prates, director of the Portuguese Screen Printing Center, immediately recognized the interest in the initiative, which he supported with the enthusiasm of someone who knows the subject.
