Vera Pyrrait was born in Lisbon, on May 14, 1963. She attended the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Laje (in Rio de Janeiro), having completed the first year at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Visual Communication. É degree in Painting from the Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa.

He has exhibited regularly since 1985, mainly in Portugal, both individually (we highlight the exhibition "Regresso", held in 2011 at Galeria Palpura, in Lisbon), and as part of collective exhibitions (such as participation in several editions of the Illustration Meeting in S. João da Madeira).

In parallel with the practicing artistic creation, he has been teaching in the arts since 1987. 

In 2007, he began his journey in the field of Illustration with "Ask for a Wish" by Inês Barros Baptista, having subsequently illustrated two more books by the same author. 

In 2010, responding to the challenge of the Instituto de Apoio à Agrave; Child (IAC), illustrated the book "Histórias Com Direito", integrating poems and short stories by several Portuguese authors, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the International Convention on Human Rights Children.
