Born in Lisbon. He studied Fabric Arts at the António Arroio School of Decorative Arts and is a graduate student. degree in Design from the Escola Superior de Belas Artes de Lisboa. He supervised Contemporary tapestry courses at the Casa da Juventude e da Cultura de Alverca do Ribatejo and in his studio. He was part of the Culture Cooperative “Art of Tapestry and Textile” (ATT), where he participated until 1988 and is Visual Education teacher. You are represented in Portugal and abroad in public and private collections. É member of the International Academy of Contemporary Arts in Belgium and member of the Association of Artists of France.
