Robert Brandy

Born in Luxembourg in 1946. In 1972, in France (Aix-en-Provence), he attended the École des Beaux-Arts. It was here that he came into contact with Ben Vautier, one of the precursors of happening in Europe, as well as with Vicent Bioulès and Claude Viallat. The École de Nice, founded by Yves Klein and Arman (among others) as well as the Support/Surface movement were important in Brandy's artistic development.

His painting is about pictorial gestures, based on concepts of spontaneity. In the installations he also creates, New Realism is vehemently present, through the collection of waste and human memories. Since 1976, he has lived and worked in Luxembourg, having already worked in Luxemburg. exhibited in several countries such as Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Yugoslavia, etc. It is also represented in several Museums and Collections in various parts of the world.
