Pantoja Rojão was born in Évora, on December 28, 1943. Doctor in Lisbon, dedicated to medicine. Painting as a self-taught artist has been around for a long time. 25 years . He was a member of the National Society of Fine Arts and Member of the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Society of Medical Artist Writers (1994-1998). Since 1989, he has held 18 solo exhibitions, including: National Society of Fine Arts, D. Manuel Palace in Évora, EPAL Water Museum and Casa Municipal da Cultura de Coimbra and more than a hundred collectives, including Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Culturgest, Casino Estoril, Centro Cultural de Belém, Barcelona and Recife. He was awarded two honorable mentions and the Mário Botas de Pintura Award from SOPEAM in 1999.
It is represented in public and private collections, namely in the Municipal Museums of Ovar, Portimão and Viana do Castelo; and also in Lisbon at the City Museum and the EPAL Water Museum; as well as in the Municipal Chambers of Évora, Coimbra, Lisbon, Oeiras and also in the Order of Doctors and the National Federation of Doctors. He edited several screen prints at the Portuguese Screen Printing Center and Galeria Aparte.
He passed away on April 25, 2020.
