Born in Lourenço Marques, Moçambique in 1967. He lived and studied in Portugal until his death. 1986. During 1987 he lived in Vienna, Austria, where he studied German and attended a ceramics course at the Volkshochschule in Vienna.
He returned to Portugal in 1988 and attended Professional Training courses in ceramics. In 1992/93 he lived in Rome, where he attended the studio. by ceramist Luigi Diotalevi. In 1993 he spent five months in London, where he visited London museums, schools and art fairs. The following year he returned to Rome and attended the studio. by ceramicist Ersillieta Gabrielli.
In 1996 he began operating his ceramics studio/workshop in Serpa, where he dedicated himself to ceramics. ceramics and ceramics sculpture. It is currently Ceramics teacher in the tile painting course. She was distinguished in 1999 – Honorable Mention – Open Gallery – Squires Gallery, Beja; in 2001 – National Crafts Award: Regional Award and in 2002 – Honorable Mention, Galeria Aberta, Beja.
