Born in Póvoa de Santa Iria, in 1949. Self-taught by training, in the seventies, influenced by his master Cruzeiro Seixas, he began his career as a painter. In 1973 he participated in the Spring Salon and Autumn Salon in Estoril. At the end of the 80s he decided to live and work in A Coruña, Spain, where he carried out important work in the area of sculpture and engraving. He has received several awards, his work is represented in several public spaces, museums and important collections in Portugal and Spain.
