João Fazenda was born in Lisbon where he graduated in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.

Artist, illustrator and animation director, with several awards and distinctions, he regularly collaborates in the national and foreign press for publications such as The New Yorker, the New York Times or Expresso. Lives and works in Lisbon after a decade living in London.
