Born in 1967, and is Graduated in Philosophy from the Catholic University of Lisbon. He has published several books of poetry, among which Iridescences stands out, in which the poems were integrated into an album with silkscreens by the Spanish artist Xavier, in 2003, in an edition prefaced by Maria João Fernandes who places him "in the line of the poet-painter Júlio Saúl Dias" and "with a refined and luminous lyricism". Regarding him, Pedro Mexia said: "(...) Gonalo Salvado is part of the richest tradition of Portuguese poetry, which is also the most demanding: the tradition of lyricism loving (...), in a fertile line of chaste eroticism that has its maximum exponent in the Song of Songs ". He also published the anthology: Camões Amor Só, an edition of Caja Duero, Salamanca, Lisbon, 1999, with prefaces by José Miguel Santolaya Silva and Mendo Castro Henriques and drawings by Ambrósio Ferreira. In 2004, with Maria João Fernandes, responsible for choosing the painters who illustrated it, he organized the anthology: Cerejas - Poems de Amor de Autores Portugueses Contemporneos. The anthology includes several of his drawings.
