Born in 1977 Célia Barros graduated in Engraving at the Facultad de Bellas Artes, Universidad de Barcelona, completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts/Painting at ESAD/Caldas da Rainha and held several Engraving, Serigraphy, Illustration and Bookbinding Workshops, as well as a course Photography APAF/Caldas da Rainha and Drawing, at the National Society of Fine Arts, Lisbon.

In 2001 she received an Honorable Mention at the III Engraving Festival “Cidade de Évora” and in 2007 she was a resident artist at the Centro Português de Serigrafia.

She has participated in several group and individual exhibitions.
