A young artist from Lisbon, Portugal, Catarina Garcia was born in 1986. She attended the Masters in Drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. She completed her Bachelor's and Degree in Fine Arts-Painting in 2006 and 2008, respectively, from the same college. In this course, she specialized in engraving technology. In 2007/08 she was an Erasmus scholarship holder at Accademia Albertina delle Belle Arti di Torino, in Italy. She also participated in several workshops in the field of drawing.

She exhibits individually and regularly since 2009 in Portugal and Spain. Her work almost always has the drawing of the human figure as its starting point, not only in the portrait, the theme she is dedicated to, but also in her most recent paintings. These refer to a universe where children's dreams and imagination meet, creating stories through images. At the same time, she dedicates herself to drawing from observation in the graphic diary, where spontaneity is constantly sought. It is a constant graphic investigation always based on observational drawing.
