Carlos Calado

Born in 1946 in Angola where he entered the artistic world, Carlos Calado began teaching art at the age of 19. He attended the Decorative Arts Course in Luanda and the Escola Superior de Belas Artes in Lisbon. He completed a burin apprenticeship with Alberto Flocon, dedicating himself from then on. entirely at your disposal. engraving and variety of his technical processes, in his own words «Putting the knowledge of sculpture into engraving (...) a certain modulation, the three dimensions.».

Works at Atelier Graff, where he teaches; lithography courses and is member of the Quebec Council of Estampa. He lives in Montreal, Canada.
