Eduardo Sanchez-Beato Parrillas was born in Toledo in 1948.

He has exhibited his work individually, regularly, since 1971 in Spain, Italy and Portugal. He has participated in various collective exhibitions in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Japan Switzerland, Greece, Austria, France and Holland.

His work has been awarded several times. He won the Juan March Scholarship between 1972 and 1974, devoted himself in the first year to artistic creation in Spain, and in the second year he worked in Italy. In 1980, he won the Ministry of Culture Scholarship for Research and Creation of New Expressive Forms in Plastic Arts. In 1987 he won the First Prize Castilla-La Mancha of Plastic Arts in Cuenca and in 1988, the same prize in Albacete. In 1989 he received the First Prize of the Tajo Biennial in Toledo and, in 1990, the Real Fundación de Toledo Prize.

His work has been acquired by various Public Entities and Museums, among which stand out: Ángel Miguel de Arce Museum of Contemporary Art, Burgos; Centro de Arte Raínha Sofía, Madrid; Museum of Contemporary Art of Toledo; Juan March Foundation; Valdepeñas Museum, Ciudad Real; Parcent Palace, Ministry of Justice, Madrid; Albacete Museum; Collection of Contemporary Art of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha, Toledo; Museum of Contemporary Art, Cáceres.
