Created in the context of the solo exhibition at FIG Bilbao, at the invitation of the Portuguese Embassy in Spain, the two new silkscreens by the artist Pedro Calapez are, once again, a testament to creativity and reinvention.
Each of the works generates geographies of color, spaces defined by precise, non-rigid brushstrokes, under the aegis of sensitivity and individual freedom.
The title is thus justified by the author: "In 'Nessun dorma', an aria in the opera 'Turandot' by Puccini, a situation of 'heightened awareness' was imperative in the storyline. This is how the title for these works emerged."

"Starting from a recent painting, I alter it to obtain two new starting points. Already quite distant from the original, these silkscreens are therefore not reproductions of my work but something completely new."
