CPS at FIG Bilbao 2024

Pedro Calapez exhibition among the highlighted initiatives

The CPS returns to the prestigious FIG Bilbao – International Print and Paper Art Festival, which takes place from November 27 to December 1, in the city of Bilbao.

This annual event brings together about fifty national and international galleries exclusively dedicated to Paper Art, Printmaking, and Screen Printing, giving it a unique character in Spain and Europe.

Since 2021, CPS, in collaboration with the Embassy of Portugal, has regularly participated in the event. This year, the invitation was extended to Pedro Calapez, who created the series Liberali in Otio, a total freedom exercise consisting of 16 paintings that will be exhibited.

In addition to Pedro Calapez's exhibition, CPS also presents at FIG Bilbao its most recent editions from prominent Portuguese artists, such as Sofia Areal, Pedro Calapez, José Lourenço, and Miguel Januário, as well as the Irish artist Maser and the French artist ORLAN. The selection also includes prestigious Spanish artists, such as Luis Moro, César Barrio, Marta Blasco, Begoña Terradas, and Irati Retolaza, winner of the CPS Residency Prize in last year's edition of the event.
