Visual artist and researcher Mónica de Miranda, published by CPS since 2010, is one of the curators of the "Greenhouse" project (along with Sónia Vaz Borges and Vânia Gala) which officially represents Portugal at the 60th Venice Art Biennale, running until November 24.
This innovative project aims to rethink the concept of the national pavilion and challenge dominant discourses and practices, addressing themes such as ecology, decolonization, diaspora, and migration.
"Greenhouse" transforms the Palazzo Franchetti into a "Creole garden," presenting a sound installation, sculptures, dance, workshops, readings, and participatory events.
The initiative invites the public to reflect on the theme "Foreigners Everywhere," which seeks to deconstruct and expand the concept of "foreigner" in various contexts.
