The Serigraph Tempus Locum by Gabriel Garcia is based on the photograph taken by Louis Daguerre on the Boulevard du Temple, in 1838, which records the first human being. As the image capture process had an exposure time of 10 minutes, the only person recorded in the photograph, on one of the busiest streets in Paris, was at the door. At that time, it was the one that remained static during that period, the man whose shoes were shined, reproduced in the lower left corner. Gabriel Garcia sought to give the image a watercolor environment, to the image; similar to what was done to the hand in the 19th century. The intention was to give new life to the building. history through the recreation of color, recovering memories that are fading and producing a reflection on the passage of time.
