Critical notes
THE BRAVE NEW WORLD BY TELMO ALCOBIA
"The Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley and "1984" by George Orwell come to the public eye. memory in front of the young creation of Telmo Alcobia. However, the plastic work of this perfectionist and solidly trained painter (graduated in painting, with a master's degree in drawing and training in scientific drawing and a pre-Columbian drawing workshop) , if on the one hand it almost seems like an illustration of these utopias of collective melancholy, on the other, it affirms in a style close to comics and graphic arts, a very personal universe. This universe is simultaneously the expression of collective ghosts and the fable of an urban experience made up of all our discontents.
