Illustrator and multifaceted artist, Ana Ventura was born in Lisbon in 1972. In 2000 she finished her degree in Painting at FBAUL with a specialization in Engraving technology. In 1999 she did an Internship in Printmaking, Illustration and Painting at École Supérieure d'Art Visuel La Cambre, Brussels, Belgium. Since 1996 she has exhibited collectively and individually in Portugal and abroad. The scope of her work includes illustration, photography, the collage of his Papelsonagens and decorative vinyls. Her project of greatest international echo was the customization of the All Star trainers for the centenary of Converse, in 2008.
Ana Ventura regularly conducts workshops on plastic expression around the world.
She is an artist at the gallery of Centro Português de Serigrafia, with which she has worked regularly since 2006, using a technique she used in the illustrations for the book "Nove storie sull'amore" - the originals having been exhibited in Italy, Spain and Germany - as well as in the book "Thoughts don't make noise" published by the Norwegian Magikon Forlag in 2013.
She was one of the artists selected for Ilustrarte 2014 and her work was the subject of a retrospective exhibition held between Nov/2013 and Feb/2014 at the Auditório Municipal Augusto Cabrita, in Barreiro, in which all the creations edited at CPS are included.
