Born in Poland, in 1978. PhD student in Art History at the IHA of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon on the subject of “Contemporary Portuguese Engraving”, FCT scholarship holder. Polish artist, lives and works in Lisbon since 2003, specializing in engraving and drawing at the Institute of Arts of the University of Pedagogy in Krakow, (Poland, 2003), and in illustration at CITEN of the FCG ( 2004) and ISEC (2006). Represented in several public and private collections, it has 21 solo exhibitions and more than 30 group exhibitions, both in Portugal and abroad, including Galeria Salgadeiras in Lisbon, Lagar de Olive Oil in Oeiras, Martinho de Mosteiro São Tibães, in Braga, Centro Cultural do Cartaxo (CCC) and Solvay - Center for Modern Art in Krakow, among others.
She was selected to participate in the International Print Network Horst-Janssen-Museum, in Germany, on the 9th; International Biennial "Livres à Voir 9" in France and the 5th International Artist's Book Exhibition, in Hungary, among others. Joanna Latka is the co-founder of CONTRAPROVA Printmaking Studio in Lisbon.
