Born in 1939 in Matalana, Mozambique. His artistic journey goes back a long way, from his homeland and beyond its borders. É one of the founding members of the Matalana Cultural Center, created and directed by the painter Malangatana where he works as a trainer. In 1965, he began his artistic activity making drawings in Indian ink, watercolor and some oils. His works evoke scenes from everyday life in rural Mozambique and their traditions, particularly in his homeland. In 1968 he held his first solo exhibition at the Matalana School and since then he has participated in several group exhibitions in Mozambique, South Africa, URRS, Italy, Nigeria ;ria, Holland and Portugal. Since 2006, he has attended the studio at the Centro Português de Seriografia in order to acquire the technique and transmit this knowledge to the work groups at C. C. de Matalana. You are represented at the Museum of Art of Mozambique, at the Maputo Art Center, as well as in several private collections.
