Project that received support and was on display at the Museu do Oriente

LISBOA – TOKYO The Mirrorcities project was born from the desire of two friends and colleagues to continue working together, when one of them left for Japan to carry out research in that country under a grant from Fundação Oriente. Mirrorcities is This is a photographic project with a simple concept: two cities (Lisbon and Tokyo), one person in each city, one theme per day. Each day had a specific theme and each of the authors had to search their city to photograph that theme. Two photos were selected daily and placed on an online website. The themes changed every day and the results were always unexpected, sometimes due to the harmony of the images, other times due to the contrast. The project developed over approximately 5 months until the end of the year. complete 150 themes for 150 days.

Patrícia Chorão Ramalho

 

Graduated by the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon.

In 1998 he received the 1st; Prize in the International Competition “Thyssen Arquitectura Prize ‘98” and in 1999 he obtained a Special Citation in the Europan5 Competition. In 2003, she was selected for the Voyager-03 project at the Experimenta Design Biennial.

 

Sara Godinho

 

Architect, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon.

In 2002 she was an Erasmus fellow at the Oslo School of Architecture and in 2005 she completed an academic internship under the AUSMIP Program (Architecture and Urbanism Students Mobility International Program) at the Universities of Chiba and Tokyo. In 2007, he was awarded a scholarship by Fundação Oriente for a stay in Japan, with the aim of developing research on “The Japanese Bath”.
